Ingredients
1cupcan of mango in syrup or two peeled, seeded, and chopped mangoes
1/2tbspcorn starch
1cupwhole milk
sugarto taste
Instructions
Chop the mangoes into small pieces.
Blend the chopped mangoes with 3/4 cup of milk and the sugar.
Pour this mixture onto the saucepan and stir at low heat.
Meanwhile, dissolve the corn starch in a little bit of milk -1/3 cup- and mix with the mango sauce. Stir until thickens.
Let it cool, then pour your creamy mango sauce over your favorite cheesecake.
Decorate your cheesecake with chopped mangoes or whipped cream.
Notes
You can add a sheet of previously moistened gelatin to either of these desserts, you can also add a blast of rum or gin once the compote is cooled. That way the alcohol contained won't evaporate.And, in case you choose the mango puree, make sure this is 100% pulp, and decorate with cream or shredded coconut. Let your imagination run!
