For this dream whip cheesecake recipe, we are going to use morello cherries. But if you don't find them, don't worry, you can just use whatever canned cherries you find at the supermarket without a problem. Moreover, there are plenty of brands out there in the market, so pick your favorite one.

Ingredients to Make Your Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • Cooking spray -butter flavored preferable-

  • 1/2 cup of dream ship powder
  • 125 ml of cold milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 375 g of cream cheese -at room temperature-
  • 500 g of ricotta cheese -at room temperature-
  • 4 tbsp of cold water
  • 2 tbsp of cornflour
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 4 medium-size eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of morello cherries
  • zest and juice for 1 lemon
  • powdered sugar and fresh cherries to decorate

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Grease your springform pan with cooking spray. Then, press evenly across the bottom of your springform pan.
  • Bake your crust for 8 or 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, set aside, and let it cool at room temperature while you continue with the next step guide.

Step-by-Step Directions for the Cheesecake

  • In a cup, mix the water and the cornflour -you can also use cornstarch if you don't have cornflour-. Give it a good mix until you get a nice lump-free paste. And once it's mixed through, place it aside.
  • Next, into a mixing bowl, place your room temperature cream cheese and ricotta cheese. Mix these two for a few minutes until everything is well combined or nice and creamy. Then, add the sugar and mix for 2 minutes, until dissolved.
  • Then, add the eggs at low speed. Make sure you add the eggs one at a time. Let it mix through and add the lemon zest and juice. Finally, add the cornstarch mixture and mix for another minute.
  • First, pour half of the cheesecake cream onto your crust. Second, sprinkle the entire jar on top. Then, cover this up with the rest of the cheesecake mixture.
  • Place your cheesecake into the preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour and 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature. Once is completely cooled, take it into the fridge for at least 3 hours.

  • Mix the ingredients at low speed with an electric mixer for about 2 minutes. Then, at high speed for 6 minutes or until peaks form.
  • After having your cheesecake in the fridge for 3 hours, you can now decorate it with your dream whip, put some fresh cherries on top, and sprinkle with icing sugar.
